It's Never Too Late To Do Something
"THE TIME FOR ACTION IS NOW. IT'S NEVER TOO LATE TO DO SOMETHING." -Antoine de Saint-Exupery
It's the day after Thanksgiving. Holidays are such powerful markers. I can always remember exactly where I was and what I was doing the year before.
So much has happened over the past year, and yet I also feel in a very real way like everything is the same. Leaves change, we change, time moves on, we get older.
And then there's that part of us that remains untouched, unchanged. We look older, but we don't feel older. There's something deep inside that the elements can't get to, as if they've been slathered with SPF100, locked away in the basement before the storm. And it comforts me.
It reminds me that time, though a measure, is irrelevant to who we are. And that it is never, ever too late for you and me. It's never too late to say thank you, to follow our gifts, to learn something new like guitar. Or forgiveness.
Never.

I owe Leigh Nash a lot. Like, for being the first girl I ever saw front a band. I'm listening to this and I'm not sorry. (And if you're not on Rdio, now is the time.)
I started Lynda Barry's Syllabus: Notes from an Accidental Professor this week. This is a great write-up on it. The book is a must-experience for any creator.
I devoured the first nine episodes of Serial Podcast over the course of two days. It's a crime story that plays like House of Cards, from the creators of This American Life. Simply brilliant.
Last but not least on my Like List today is you. There are just a handful of you subscribed. I am thrilled and grateful you're here and I hope to honor this space with honesty, creativity, and love.
