Multitudes is out!
Oh, hey! I didn't see you there. I was too busy reading about MailChimp best practices which clearly states that if you haven't engaged your subscribers in a while, you should consider them unsubscribed.
Guys, that's not true, is it?
I feel like you guys are decidedly NOT offended by my irregularity in sending out newsletters. In fact, I think you like it. Who needs more email, right? But if I'm off-base and you need to go, if that is what is in your heart, I support you. Go in peace.Â
I don't like sending these out unless I have something important to say. And I do. Ready? Here it is: my new minicomic, Multitudes, is here! Can I get a "woo!"?? It's actually been out for a few months now. Here's what the kids are saying:Â
Â
"This is one seriously insightful, relatable work of art."Â
"I've read it many times...
I keep it in my purse because I discover new things
each time I read."
"It's full of heart and awesomesauce."
Whaaat? So nice! If you're local to San Jose or Portland, you can pick up Multitudes at Art Boutiki and Floating World Comics, respectively. I'm trying to get it into more stores, so if you have a lead, please lead me! I'm so grateful to these stores for taking on a newbie like me. And I'm so grateful to those of you who've supported me already and bought a copy! Consider my heart not even warmed but hot, hot, sizzling hot!Â
Courage helps.
The world is chaotic. It seems every morning we wake up to more sad news. It's human nature to be scared and to turn to blame. But blame doesn't really help, does it? Courage helps though. The courage to love what we don't understand. It sounds hard and it is. But I think we're bigger than that. I think we can say no to fear and yes to love. But we need each other. So let's encourage and let's be courageous! Â
Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh
This woman, Anne, spent some time by the ocean and penned her reflections on everything from youth and age and love and marriage, to peace, solitude, and contentment. These are lovely and poignant and brave reflections and I highly recommend this beautiful little book!Â
Thanks for reading! Until next time, whenever that is!

Pinback.
It's nice when you love a band but haven't listened to their entire catalog and then stumble across a song from said band that you've never heard and love. Ahhh. That's what happened to me this week with "Sherman". Great track! Magical. Watch.
